Woman walking in grass field

About

SHANON DAY DRAYTON

YOUR HOST AND GUIDE

A Southern California native, I discovered Tehachapi quite by accident in 2010 and quickly fell in love. Shortly thereafter, we purchased off-grid land and spent years camping there whenever possible, enjoying the serenity of the mountains until our youngest left for college.

In 2020, my husband—a retired building contractor—and I moved to the land full-time and began building La Finca Loca Ranch from the ground up. We carved roads, installed utilities and septic systems, set up wind generators, and built my beloved barn. Our dream home is currently under construction, and in the meantime, we’re living in a small house on the property.

How I came to hold retreats:

As a child, I often heard my name being called and there was nobody there. I sensed energies around me, communicating with me. In my twenties, I experienced moments of connection with those who had crossed over. But during my thirties and forties, while I worked and raised my family, my spiritual life naturally stepped aside. When I finally stepped away from the city and returned to nature, that part of me opened again. My connection with spirit deepened, and the messages became clear: this land is meant to be shared.

And so I’m here, opening this sacred space to those who feel called to it. As your host, I’ll support and guide you in whatever way feels comfortable and supportive during your stay here.
