Your Questions, Answered

Tehachapi is conveniently located 2 hours NE from LAX airport, or 1 hour S from Bakersfield airport, if that’s an option for you. My property is at 5,000 ft elevation. There is a 3 mile dirt road up to the ranch.

Where is Tehachapi?

The Southern Pacific Railroad line through the Tehachapi Pass was completed in July 1876 and became the final link connecting San Francisco and Los Angeles. Of course the native Kawaiisu (pronounced: "ka-wai-ah-soo" or also called the Nuooah people, have been here for centuries. We honor those native people on our land.

Downtown Tehachpi offers lots of dining, shopping and entertainment opportunites. Please visit links below to explore.

I’ve never heard of Tehachapi. Is there stuff to do?

I have dietary restrictions.

Will that a problem?

We have a chef who is willing, able and delighted to meet all your dietary needs. You’ll be sent a questionnaire prior to your arrival.

The truth is, yes, we have it all. But we wont let you get eaten. Although, we can’t do much about the bugs. Or spiders. Sorry. They don’t listen. Having said that, Tehachapi is surprisingly bug/spider free. You are more likely to be nuzzled by a donkey, goat or horse, than encounter anything dangerous.

Are there wild animals or snakes and bugs that could hurt me?
